Low fat milk means more profit for the dairy guys and less nutrients for you. Pasteurization is necessary when cows are fed grain because they produce lots of human pathogens. Grass fed cows live 4 times longer than grain fed cows and do NOT have human pathogens in their milk.
Non fat milk is made by extracting the butter fat from the milk, leaving it a blue color with little good fatty acids left. Then it is pasteurized where the proteins are altered to form chards of foreign amino acids that cause homocystein responses in your body. You end up with the booby prize when you drink that garbage, worse health.
For body building, you need to drink whole RAW milk derived from cows that are fed grass. That milk contains over 500 fatty acids, good bacteria that eat the lactose and even people with lactose intolerance can drink it. If the milk you are drinking is pasteurized, it is doing you more harm than good, especially for body building.
Look at: www.organicpastures.com They are a good quality dairy that provides good RAW milk and all their cows are grass fed.
EDIT: do yourself a huge favor and watch this video:

People in the medical field have NO training in nutrition and when they give advice for you to drink skim milk and tell you that it contains more protein, they are simply wrong and have NO clue what they are talking about. ALL pasteurized milks have proteins that are altered and contain huge amounts of foreign amino acid chards that elicit homocystein responses and are terrible for a person to consume. A very good book for you to get some real expert advice on this issue is called, ';Know Your Fats'; by Mary G. Enig, Ph.D. She is the world's foremost expert on fats and oils. I do wish people that take 1 hour of formal nutrition training in nurses training or medical schools or from the mainstream media would leave the nutrition to people who study it day in and day out.
good luck to youDoes low fat milk have the same amount of protein as full cream milk which is best for body building?
Low fat and skim milk actually have more calcium and protein than full fat milk. When whole milk is homogenized, part of what makes up the gallon is the fat. Remove the fat, and all that is left is the milk solids and water. So the gallon contains just that- no fat. You actually do not need full fat milk as an adult, not even for body building.
