Body lotion or Body cream?

what's the difference? like i have a very dry skin in my overall body but i have oil hair and face...so which one is better and which brand also? thank you!Body lotion or Body cream?
I use cream at night and lotion in the day in the summer time. In the winter I use cream always, it tends to build a better barrier for your skin, and stays with you all night. It is very thick though, and a bit much for hot days, it can feel sticky.


I have very dry skin. I prefer bath and body works, cream, and there are lots of great brands that are cheaper than that. Wal mart carries a cream called skin milk, it is also in lotion form. It is wonderful, and has a light smell. My friend is a cosmetologist and swears by it. When I can get it ( in the states) that is what I use most often.Body lotion or Body cream?

I worked at Bath and Body works for two years. With their products, body cream had a thicker consistancy than the body lotion. Most people used cream during the winter when skin is typically dryer and lotion during the summer.
I use Dove body lotion. Cream and lotion are both almost the same, but when it comes to oily or dry skin, I go for lotion for dry and cream for oily, because in most brands the only difference is, is that cream has less oil in it, which is better for oily skin.
Olay Quench lotion is really good and it smells great too. I dont wear any makeup so I only use Dove and Olay products for my skin. My skin looks great from it too.
